Driving home one night I happened to notice how these quick loan places were lit up. I stopped real quick and a got a few shots off at a high ISO. I had planned on doing all early morning sort of shots, but I have to say I really like the night iamge...reminds me of Nighthawks. Anyway, within walking distance of this place were 12 MORE of them, all less than 1/4 mile away in either direction. If I include the gold exchanges and pawn shops, you can double that number. All this in a small area of a smallish town in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. |

You should have told him he has no expectation of privacy in public and snapped away. ...unless he looked like this. |

I have an idea for you Neil. It might be easier to motivate people to pose for you if they had some idea of what they were posing for. You 'say' you're making a book of beards, but what if that's just a cover story? It sounds like a cover story. If you had a demo book on an iPad or a 3-ring notebook, your prospective models could see what you're up to, assess the quality of your work, & decide if they want to be included. Being included in a book is a different proposition than having your photo taken by a stranger. |
