Being relatively new I still have a lot to learn. When I previewed my recent challenge submission it brought up a 1-10 vote scale and seemed to be allowing me to vote on my own photograph.

I've never voted on my submitted photo's before and didn't want to do it without asking because it seemed wrong. So do we vote on our submissions or don't we?

It's an illusion. You can't vote on your own photo.

I always got a kick out of that, it felt good to give myself a ten even though I knew it did not count it.

It is just to show you what your entry will look like to the rest of us when we vote.

When you upload your pic and preview it, yes, you do get the full voting scale. But no,once the challenge starts, you are not able to vote on your own pic, for obvious reasons :-)

As others have said and I concur:

When I see that screen, I give myself a ten every time.
"There, at least I have one "10".
Sadly, that vote is scrubbed when competition begins for real.

Thanks for the reply everyone! I was afraid to try it to see what happened. I thought the council would think I was trying to cheat and swoop down on me. (smile)
