I have entries waiting in the wings for Fine Arts and POV Diptych; these represent my 998th and 999th DPC entries. I'm now waiting for a challenge that strikes my fancy for that 1000th entry. I'm not sure I want to memorialize it with "Retro", see... I wonder what tonight will bring?
In any event, it's been a long road from December, 2004 to here, and I've enjoyed practically every minute of the trip, so THANK YOU, DPC for enriching my life. Here's hoping you prosper long enough for me to reach 2,000 entries :-)

Congratulations! Maybe I can ease off the pace a bit and we can get together again to shoot #2000 at the same time ... |

It all started when I misunderstood, and thought that the "challenge" was to think up *something* to enter every week (there was only 1 challenge/week originally), and I never recovered.
As long as you can be content with entering something meaningful to you and not caring if it meets the voters' idea of eye candy you can get there pretty fast with three (sometimes four) challenges every week. |

At 3/week I think I'd get to 1500 in the Summer of 2015. What's the soonest you think you'd hit it? |

Well, if you figure 3/week plus the odd FS and Extra challenge, it'd take me roughly 60 weeks to CATCH you if you stopped entering now, so I don't see any realistic chance of that happening, LOL. |

I think we should honour every man or woman who achieve 1000 challenges, for example with an "In the style of ...." challenge.
