		Hi guys!

I need an aerial view of a big town, something like New York or Los Angeles or, what can I say, London.

But I need a perfectly vertical view like in these ones:

but of a landscape more similar to this one:

It's for a project of mine, so I wanna pay for it, but I searched for it on 20 pages of shutterstock but couldn't find one that is very good - anyone can help me? |

I need a sort of background for an artwork and I want something legal and bigger than a google earth file. |

I'd try searching at these NASA sites -- the images are public-domain for non-commercial use. Some may be high-enough resolution ...

 NASA's Earth Observatory

 NASA's Planetary Photojournal-Earth

I'd love to accomodate you, but I think all of my aerial photos are at some angle -- I'll try to see if I have any taken while the plane was banking so I could point the camera down.

ETA: These are probably the most vertical shots I have with any amount of sharpness -- originals are 6MP (2816 x 2112 pixels)

		Thanks Paul.

I slightly changed the perspective of my image, so the aerial views I had found worked in the scene. I got a very nice nightscape of Chicago. As soon as it's ready I will show you the final image :) |

Cool -- glad it worked out. Most of my aerial shots were intentionally at an angle anyway, at least in part to create fake miniatures ...

Here is one of a downtown. It's stylized, so it might not work.

I happen to be work in an industry where I use aerial images all day long (all taken from a aircraft)so I might be able to help you find one directly from the source. Let me know. |

		Thanks for your help guys.

I bought a Boston nightscape from Fotolia. I wanted the perfect image to fit my artwork, since it will be part of an important showing in L'Aquila.

I have to thank first of all gyaban for his help during the making of this image. And also tanguera and my WPL friends :)

 This is the final image.

The main theme of the showing was 'The City' |
