Exactly what I should do with the ugly pecan tree in my backyard. |

I think you should have left the bark on the tops.
Otherwise, really nice! |

I agree, but sadly I had to take it off because the stumps were old, rotting, and the bark was infested with potato bugs. :-(

Nicely done. Did she ever let you bring them inside? ;-) |

Good job Slippy, although I did cringe at how you started the chain saw.

Nice one Slippy, great minimal use of resources and low tech :) Although I did cringe at the 70's Porno Music ala Debbie does Dallas... ;P |

Nice work, what are you doing with all of the stuff you're making?
I also appreciate the way your chaps and shorts make it look like you're wearing manpris, very fashionable.
Maybe next time try some meggings? |

I don't think they're coming inside. If I can soak them well enough with stain they can be outdoor 'features'. But I'm sure that if I wanted, my wife would love to have the smaller one inside, she loves folk-art. :-)

That was one of two techniques shown in on the DVD that came with the saw... ? It usually starts right up, but I goofed up a while back and put gas oil in the chain oil chamber. I don't know if that screwed it up somehow, I don't see how. It's been a bit rough to start ever since. :-( I should take it in for a tune up.

In the style of Napolean Dynamite, too, I love it!

Those chaps seem a bit short, but I guess they're standard??? Hopefully I won't cut my legs off at the shins.
I've given a couple of pieces as gifts to family, and kept one for our front door. I'd like to use the smaller table as a potted plant stand in a garden out front, and the larger one as a stand to put stuff on to carve it.

Hmmm don't think I've ever seen such short bucking pants before, you may want a longer pair. Got a little bit vertiginious towards the end but I'm ok now :-) |
