Albert Hofmann died today at age 102

The discoverer and advocate of LSD, who made the first acid trip on his bike, and all round good guy. I think a challenge to honour him would be great.

Ruleset: um, Expert i guess.

Special Ruleset: Whilst it is probably not best for DPC to advocate the use of hallucinogenic drugs i think an exception can be made. Or not maybe. Whatever.

And in the spirit of the challenge - I'd suggest we open our minds, and do this in basic - since we never see that one anymore. :)

How about taking a hit of acid and THEN trying to take some pictures.

If so, be sure to edit your OP, since Langdon is never bothered with reading this far down. :)

I''m game. It's been a few years but it's like riding a bike really isn't it. :)

âToday a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the Weather.â

No, no. Would have to be expert to allow for all the flashbacks.

I think there'll be precious few lightermen, stevedores and dockers. Even the pounds, shillings and pence I grew up with are not really there any more.
Definitely a case of using your illusion.

So...we're going to base a challenge on the Mormons? Seems kinda narrow in scope....

Well, in the great tradition of the subject matter, that Wired story is from five years ago. He's been dead since 2008.

Um, flashback?
04/30/2013 06:44:03 AM · #23
So the story has been on ice for 5 years?
