While working on Mother's Day photos for our pregnant and parenting students at my school, I had SEVERAL outtakes (imagine that)...this was one of them, but it had something about it...I couldn't quite delete it. I converted it to sepia, cropped a tad, and adjusted the levels. What else could I do to give it some panache?

| Maybe keep the rose red? Keep the rest in sepia or black and white? |

Laurie,
The model is precious. The problem I see is the white line growing dianonally out of her head - and the merger with the nose and the railing. The building right abover her head is a bit of a problem, but I could live with it if I had to.
If you have the time - it's possible to either darken or blur those areas in photoshop. But do NOT delete it, you have a winner in the making. I bet the mom would love it just as it is. |

A shallower DOF and the shot would be about perfect. Good capture and I like the sepia tone.
