Just because it is 411 where you are doesn't mean it's that way everywhere man. 311 was/is a popular alternative.

I hope they indoctrinate the picture-takers at the DMV.

The worst picture I have ever had taken was for a military ID.
You can guess what the 2nd and 3rd worst were.
And there are no retakes for any of these.

So, if all you have to do is Not Smile - lucky you!

Yes, it's because facial recognition software works better if you're not smiling.
