I agree that the percentages thing is probably more fair than a scores thing... but the 5% rule should take into consideration the number of entries.

For example if my opponent has an 87% in a challenge with 134 entries and I have a 92% in a challenge with only 30 entries... that seems fair to make it a tie since it was harder for my opponent to get a high percentage with so many entries. the 5% rule evens it out a bit.

But, if it's opposite... My opponent has a 92% in a challenge with 134 entries and I have an 87% in a challenge with only 30 entries, My Opponent should win. The 5% rule gives an unfair advantage to me and I should not get the tie.

That said, the rules are as they are, and I give my congratulations to Naked Pedestrians!

Sorry for the late response, this is what has been bothering me since we developed the scoring but couldn't come up with a way to solve the issue, but now you gave an idea on how to tackle it. I think that maybe a way to account for the different number of participation would be to bracket the percentiles according to the less participated challenge of a given week. In this way all percentiles would be discretized similarly and can be easily compared. On top of this resorting it might useful to put a threshold for ties, but a value that can be related to the discretization in the small challenge and that would give ties between consecutive placements. This could be promising, certainly would make comparison between different challenges more even and it would adapt itself weekly according to the participation. I should be able to implement this in a second edition of the TPL if happens.

YES!!! Thank you! You understand and talk stuff back to me that sounds intelligent! (even if I don't understand the logistics) LOL!!

All nicely align and resizing the window does not affect the distribution, works like a charm.

Seriously, like none of the normal BBC code works here, I tried using [Table] etc..

:-D Yep - only a small number of them work, but the ones that do are helpful once in a while.

How is scoring done? If its been explained ad nausium I'm sorry and I'd be happy to be linked if someone could lend a hand. :)

Detailed example here. Explained by different users all over THIS same thread and the one linked too. Note that the scoring system will be changed for the next edition of TPL.

Thanks everyone, we are implementing the logos into the code so as it can be used for league standings..

This first TPL has/is been a bit of a 'beta' test, but our plan is to have it all in place so we can run the TPL anytime we want with everything automated...

Thanks for your patience and your support.

With icons if anyone is interested. Since tabs don't work couldn't find a way to line everything up, so it's very disjointed.

Is the League victor determined by gross point total or win/loss record?

Pretty sure Ive explained this before but here goes...

3 points for a win 1 point for a draw 0 points for a loss 0.5 awarded regardless IF all team members submit an image in any given TPL week.
