According to the code these were the scores, let me know if there is any inconsistencies.
HOCUS FOCUS,0.50,LydiaToo,mike_311,CNovack,mariuca, 97.66,97.06,85.94,70.31
NAKED PEDESTRIANS,3.50,jagar,PennyStreet,colorcarnival,Yandrosxx, 94.53,92.97,84.38,80.47 |

So, basically the top 3 comparisons ended in a tie and the 4th comparison resulted in win (tie-breaker) to NAKED PEDESTRIANS (80.47 versus 70.31). Yes? |

It's kind of bittersweet actually. You do your darn best and the opposing team does push you to do your absolute best. For it to come down to 1 percentage point it is a combination of "Damn, they played a great game' and "Arrrrghhhhh, so darn close, we had it".
If my memory serves correct when I was on the DPL Pirates we were sooooo close to winning one particular week (I think we had a ribbon and a HM and a top 10 in our belts during week 2 or 4) but the win was pulled by the opposite team by 3%. Frustrating I know, but the numbers have to be drawn somewhere. Any of my Pirate teammates remember the exact numbers...well bottom line that week was a hard & good fight with great percentage points but we still lost the match. |

In this case, yes. The fourth comparison with a difference of about 10% was the decisive score. |

It encourages us bottom feeders to take our best stabs because we do matter! |

To borrow a quote from Adam of Mythbusters "I reject your reality and substitute my own." :-):-)
It reads far better on a knock down, cat scratch hard fight that the match was won by a 1 point difference:-):-) |

This is the whole point and why the scoring system is excellent.. We are just waiting for the league table format to be completed and then it will all be finished and can be run anytime we want.
If we get a good interest and teams are sticking together we will run the leagues as div1 and div2 with the top 4 from div2 going up and the bottom 4 from div1 going down every season... |

Actually it was closer than 3%, in the DPL2 we lost to the OLY-OOPs by 1.25%
Oly-ops 86.9556
Pirates 85.6984
-------------------
Pirates Beaten by 1.2572% I call that a very close match... Great competition and great photos from both teams! |

I agree that the percentages thing is probably more fair than a scores thing... but the 5% rule should take into consideration the number of entries.
For example if my opponent has an 87% in a challenge with 134 entries and I have a 92% in a challenge with only 30 entries... that seems fair to make it a tie since it was harder for my opponent to get a high percentage with so many entries. the 5% rule evens it out a bit.
But, if it's opposite... My opponent has a 92% in a challenge with 134 entries and I have an 87% in a challenge with only 30 entries, My Opponent should win. The 5% rule gives an unfair advantage to me and I should not get the tie.
That said, the rules are as they are, and I give my congratulations to Naked Pedestrians! |

Would it be that hard for you guys to post the team matchup results like this for all teams/weeks? I just ask so that we can kinda see how close things were readily since you are already pulling the data vs us going in for every team member. |

i was under the impression that that the top score on one team goes against he top score on another team, as opposed to adding up the 4 highest scores.
is this not the case?
if that was the case shouldn't we have won 3-1?

Percentage not score, within a 5% differential.

I also thought this is how it would work? Maybe we read something wrong?

your top 3 and the opposing top 3 were all within 5 points of each other, so a draw each for those three. The final score was by a 10pt margin (>5) to the opposing team, so a win for them.
