Just posted something there, I am not sure if it's been used a lot, so I am also posting the link here... with the original idea.

"Collection information

Have a user's comment area on top of each collection at our portfolios. Why? Because if I upload bunch of photos as a collection, I would like to give some information about it, and maybe tell people in general what I used, where I was etc. etc... or just tell a short story about the collection."

title should be "Idea for the website" not "Idea for the wesbite" a typo!

I'm pretty sure this (good) idea has been suggested before.

In the meantime, as a workaround, you might go to the first image in the collection, designate it to "represent" the collection, and add your additional explanatory notes about the collection there. Most people will look at the first image first, especially if that's what you give as a link to the collection, and they can then read about the rest of the images before continuing on to the next picture.
