Seriously, I didn't enter this one, but ummm well some really doozers!! lol!

Is a doozer good or bad?

Sorry wasn't following this thread after I posted it!

A doozer in my language is pretty much 'bad' only a few good ones in this challenge, and I mean few as in maybe 4, lol! Sorry, I didn't enter bc of the same reason Margaret mentioned, and this photo was what came to mind as well when I read the challenge, and no one can beat it, it's a whopper!!

Except that is not a self portrait. This challenge should have been singled out in a crowd or alone in a crowd, something along those lines.

However if that shot were entered it would have won because no one knows (except the photographer) that it is not a self portrait until after rollover and DNMC is not grounds for DQ.

I'll say it again, you may only find four images that you like in there...probably not mine... but I still think kudos should go to those who put forth the effort and submitted to the challenge. Only entering a challenge if you think you have a high scoring image is limiting your possibilities for exploration, IMO.

I have tried the alternative approach and now regret it. Mainly becuase it is a lousy picture, it still has a higher score than it deserves.

I voted in this challenge and have to agree with the folks that say there were a lot of zonkers....there are truly some good images in this challege. But there are some that well to be honest are just really, really bad.

Sorry you feel that way. Although mine is pretty straight forward, I gave a lot of credit for thinking outside the box.
