I've just realised something.
A 'see ya chumps' thread, the day before the pope resigns.
Is there something more to LanndonKane? |

...and you my friend are sadly mistaken. Italy as a rule is not that hot when it comes to pizza. Then again, taste is something specific to each individual.
They most certainly have some fantastic foods in Italy, but from a personal perspective, their pizza is meh.

I can't think of anything more obtuse than trying to designate a "Best Pizza Place". It depends so much on personal taste. I go a different place for white pizza than I do for Buffalo chicken pizza, or heavy meat, or Sicilian......it all depends on what I'm in the mood to have in the way of pizza.

My mom went to Greece twice when I was a kid and she said they had the best pizza she ever ate over there, I wold not have guessed the Greeks for making great pizza. |

Don't care where the 'best' are. What is your favorite? I suppose you can post it here |

Gotta say I agree with Spork99 here. (And I lived in Chicago for 6 yrs - what is served there is NOT pizza in my book)

A bit of helpful advice: When at the airport, any airport, head for the bar.
Exception: Rome - there, head for the expresso bar. |

The Flying Wedge in Lower Mainland BC used to be really good, have no idea if it still is. Gabriels is OK but usually Red wants to go to a little town near me for pizza made at its general store. Pretty good but I am not much of a pizza connoisseur.
ETA: during my 6 weeks in Italy a bazillion years ago, do not recall having any pizza...maybe cause I was in the North. *shrugs* |

This is the best "I'm leaving" thread, ever!
Now I have to recommend the non-traditional stuffed pizza from Bravo Pizza, a chain restaurant with the location in Limerick, PA, Can you say Meat Lovers??? Cheese and three meats and sauce too in a stuffed wedge with cheese and sauce on top!! Heart Attack!!!!!!
