So a couple of months ago I started submitting images to Pixoto. I actually havent been there in a while and kinda forgot about it. Well last night I got an e-mail saying I was voted in the top 20%for the year for a sports photo. I'm just amazed at the exposure this one shot has gotten me. It's been on the front page of local newspapers and the Lake Champlain Drogonboat Festival has been using it as their go to image. I usually never toot my own horn but I figured this one time it's ok.

I think the attention is well deserved! It's an awesome shot. It really captures the emotional intensity of the competitors.

Congrats and well deserved.
Kind of funny. I just received a best of from Pixoto landing in the top 5% for archetecture and buildings category for this image which was also in the best of 2010 DPC challenge. You did much better than me in that challenge. :)
