Okay, I'm ready. Have made a choice and am ready to submit. Won't change my mind.

Must move on to photographs in 2013. Living in the here and now, while I can.

I managed to take a few photo's in 2012.
My HD 2012 folder says:

123 GB used [mostly Jpeg, just over 3000 kb per image = Canon 400D]
40,446 Files, 145 Folders

That includes doubles and Jpeg/Raw duplicates for part of the year, so I only have about 30 000 to peruse. 15 days left, so an easy-peasy 2000 a day, which will leave me with a full 23 hours for PP. I whish.

Use an image management software like Lightroom or aperture I use both, aperture for most shoots Lightroom for nudes (better brushes and stops accidentally showing friends things they shouldn't see, like non model shots)

Then I rate as I go along 1-5, but generally I use 2-5 I go through rate at 3 then reject the non rated then go back through and leave at 3 or increase / decrease

I'm showing 77, 467 Raws in aperture and 5,789 Raws in Lightroom for 2012 at about 22mb each

What a great idea for a challenge. I've been really busy, but with the extra time allotment I'll hopefully have a chance to shoot for this.

Yesterday, I captured a candidate image for Best of 2013. It will be a long wait. But, I've got one already eartagged for a year from now, if I live that long. It was Ansel Adams who said, âI have often had a retrospective vision where everything in my past life seems to fall with significance into logical sequence.â
