Saint Veronica is the Patron Saint of Photographers and Laundry Workers.
(She wiped Christ's face at the crucifixion and the image of his face was transferred to her veil, so she was an early photographer) |

i've got a few good ones:
1) Bees can recognise human faces.
2) The chicken in the closest living relative of the tyrannosaurus rex.
3) If you try to say the alphabet without moving your lips or tongue, every letter will sound the same.
4) 99% of people who read the above will try it to at least the letter F. (okay, i made that one up, but really, once you hit E and F and they sound the same, there's not much point going on and people will naturally want to prove something wrong) |

Fact: Julia Grant is resting next to her husband, Ulysses S. Grant, together in their tomb... So the next time someone asks you who is buried in Grant's Tomb, say, "Julia"... |

who bothers to even write it into law??? |
There's a reason for "whistling underwater" laws, and they are not unique to Vermont. It has to do with not creating adverse effects on cetacean species, mostly, and other sea mammals (seals etc). Lobster fishermen, in particular, have been known to hang whistling devices where they put their traps to keep seals away. |

Yup, I'm an extremely trivial guy. But there are others on this site that outshine me. Paul Marcus, especially, is just FULL of it, and generally more USEFUL trivia than mine. |
