Hi All! I just got back from a trip to through Italy, Switzerland and France, and thought I'd share some pics. I decided that the best way to get a few of the the 1,613 photos I took in Europe onto the internet fast was to choose one photo that I really love from each day of the trip, and turn those 24 photos into a gallery. That way everyone can get a flavor for the trip without waiting for me to edit ALL the images. I'll do that slowly but surely in the coming weeks, and add them to the site as time permits. Enjoy!

F11 and hide the toolbar and it's easier to view :)

Absolutely stunning. Looks like photos from travel books.Makes me want to visit.

With 1,613 photos did you download to a computer or a digital wallet?

This must have been a dream come true to travel Europe. Hope to see more soon.

Edit: Favorite- Nuns Crypt. Wow.

Great photos. My favorites are The Colisseum, Scoppia del Carro, The Jewelry Shop in Florence, and the Glassblowers. You might want to change the color of the text so that it is easier to read.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I was using a 512MB compact flash card, and downloading to a laptop every night. Luckily all went well, nothing stolen, lost, broken, or anything else. Brought home every photo I took! And immediately copied them to another computer AND archived them to 5 CDs!! There's a ton more that I really love, but I figured this was a good start. I'll let you all know as more are added ;)

Love 5! Beautiful image!
And 15 is the kind of stuff I love to take too!
19 really is absolutely SUPERB and you could sell it, I'm sure!
I also love 23. Just beautiful. Did you have to tripod it or were you hand holding?

Wonderful and I love the idea of having one per day! I'm not disciplined enough!

Thanks Kavey! There were some days (like 11 and 17) where there weren't any really strong photos from the entire day, then others (like 19) where it was REALLY tough to pick one favorite. I can't wait to go through the rest of the pics, cause I kinda did some "theme" shooting- taking pics of Europeans being themselves (without them knowing I was shooting), photos of window boxes, etc. It'll be really neat to see them all in their respective galleries.

I don't know who I would sell 19 to, but I suppose it could happen :) I didn't think it'd turn out as strong as it did. I REALLY had to find a bathroom when I took it, so it was a very hurried shot!!!

23 was actually handheld, there was more light in the church than there appears to be- and I think I also bumped up the ISO, though I can't recall.

Thanks again everyone!

Those are great photos. I really loved #19

Heres the conversation I imagined, from right to left:
"I tell ya, it was THIS BIG"
"Gimmie a light"
"I'm not!"
"Man, these guys are sooo boring, I wanna get back to work"

Really funny lol

Great pix! I like your layout too. Do you have a database or php building the html pages on the fly or do you put one pic per page and link everything individually?

I have also been to Europe. It's great. My photos are 5 years old and from that standpoint, I made them really small in order to upload them with a 14kb modem!!! It's amazing how fast tech moves!!!
