If you haven't browsed through them, there are a bunch of really fantastic tutorials over there under "learn" in the menu bar at the top of every page. "Tutorials" cover how to do certain things and "How'd They Do That" pieces cover how people accomplished particular photos.

I thought it might help if we named the ones we found particularly helpful. It's also educational to read the discussions, linked from the top left of each one.

I learned a lot about how to change the light in editing from this tutorial. It's best to get the lighting right when you shoot, of course, but it's amazing what you can do in processing.

Wow.

Zip?

Nada?

Bupkis?

No one's using those tutorials, and has nothing to recommend?

I recommend them all the time, especially when one answers a specific question someone starts a thread to ask ... probably the most important are the ones on Curves, Resampling, Sharpening, Masks/Layer Masks (several), amd Commenting.

OK I never knew these existed.. saw this thread read the first line and went there!! I just got back with some pictures taken in a local cave and OMG I want to do exactly what the tutorial said and try er out... Thanks levyj413 I seriously just never saw that learn button... Duhhhhhhh (the very reason I dye'd my hair blonde so I wouldn't be responsible for me)

I really like all tutorials, are very helpful .
Always go there to see what's new, and when I started here on DPC most of things I learned was reading DPC tutorials.
Thanks for all who contribute for this.

I can't begin to count the number of newbies I sent to this tutorial by Brad (After I learned it myself of course).

I also love Idnic's "Move the light" tutorial.

Thanks Brad and Cindy.

It's gotta be hard to maintain a sufficiently stealthy mien when your pictures sit all over the front page ... ;-)

Welcome back ... :-)
