Our cart is currently out of comission. We are working to get it functioning again. Please check back later.
That's what I've gotten for a while now, is this just me? |

I tried to purchase a print that a friend had saw and couldn't do it. I just contacted the owner and they sold me the print directly. We cut out the middle man and the photographer got to keep more of the sale, and I could actually purchase the print.
I think the light is on, but no one is home.

Just checked and it still states:
Error

I have send a PM off to the Admin about this issue and hope that there is a reply as to when it will be up and running.
My advice is to send a PM - as the saying goes "the squeaky wheel gets the grease".

I laugh at your optimism.
I've sent in three tickets over the last couple of months. Haven't gotten a single response yet. That's why I started this thread. |

I can clearly hear your frustration...and believe me I am not at all happy about hearing the latest news.
HOWEVER if enough people (and I stress numbers here) nudge the sleeping bear, it will awake. |

You ever notice how every customer at the DMV is angry and vocal about it? Doesn't seem to me that your theory holds true while the cash still flows. |

Ever notice how everyone is impatient in line, but wants the teller/cshier/attendant to take their time and provide "full service" once reaching the window?
FWIW: The California DMV's entire computer system is down right now -- cause unknown ... :-( |

Come on ... tellers who work at a bank almost certainly are required to use direct deposit, and I bet most governement employees do as well ...

Are you alluding to the print site's computer being down 'right now'? If so it's been two months or more from my understanding. If that is the case, 'Right now' does not quite tell the whole story.

"right now" can mean "current era" or "digital age" or "Holocene Epoch" :P |

Cory, I appreciate that you posted this thread - Why?
Because now you have put on notice to other members who were not aware of this problem. Hopefully it will garner more people to respectfully 'nudge' about when is the problem going to get fixed.
I wish you posted sooner rather than allow the anger to fester over the course of months. Yes, you did try 3 times and that is good persistence....but how much more force to your request would there be if more people pepper the admin with requests to get it fixed?

:) just to be clear, there's no anger at all!
I'm annoyed at the lack of response from management, but it's become clear a while ago that if I really get too offended, the only solution is to stop paying.... The problem for me is that I like DPC, but have issues with lack of input from he-who-should-be-running-things..
As for why I didn't post sooner? Heck, I thought it was just me, until DPCPrints really broke and threw this error... I can't even say the previous problems were related, but I do know that I've sent in multiple tickets, and have gotten zero responses. That's annoying.
ETA: And I honestly don't know if further overloading of an already (apparently) overloaded site manager/owner is going to help... My guess is that he may have already given up on even reading the e-mails, let alone responding...

Sorry for the lack of response until now. The problem is that the company that actually prints the photos had changed their ordering / shopping cart API without notifying us beforehand, so Langdon is currently busy working on fixing the way DPCPrints communicates with them. Unfortunately, this isn't an insignificant task, so we don't have an ETA for getting the purchase process working again, but rest assured that it will be done as soon as possible, and we'll let you all know as soon as it's resolved.
