In keeping with the simple lighting, dark theme we seem to have going on here..

I guess I should declare I decided to do all my sp's at work, since I work nights there are less people to look at me strangely

I'll play this game also, but my images will be a lot less refined than probably everyone else's. Feel free to tear me a new one. Decided on the way home I might give this side challenge a whirl knowing I'll be the best of the worst.

Just found out I will be headed home Friday... I will try to catch up then!
One more final today and one tomorrow! After that I will be free to do this side challenge!
Keep the photos coming! I'm really enjoying them!

i need to bath and get the boy to bed then i'll do todays....
im thinking same as yesterday but with some reflector action.... gearing up to the end of the month with 5 lights hehe
gonna cycle through my lenses as well have a play with all of them

It's looking like I'm going to have to go pick up some stands for my flashes and some soft boxes. Without them, I won't be able to produce anywhere near the quality which is already presented here by everyone else.

My next shot is going to be all natural light :) As long as you have a tripod no need for fancy strobes, but it does help :) |

May 2 - Pool Shark
Wasn't able to fully accomplish my vision on this.
I had planned to light the background with a gelled flash. However I kept getting too much light spill from the umbrella that washed it out due to the close distance between me and the back wall.

| Alright - I'm struggling over the lighting being the key thing in this project. I am down with trying a bunch of varying lighting types and styles - I need that, but ultimately I end up with a bunch of mostly studio headshots of me. I understand the excitement of just seeing 30 variations of my gorgeous face for everyone here, but for me I have done it to death and really need to throw in some other thematic element to keep me interested. Would anyone object if, in addition to unique and documented lighting setups, I throw massive quantities of photoshop at it? I will include the original portrait in my notes. I may only get in 15 or 20, but I promise to make them all somewhat fun and interesting to look at. |

No problem with me and looking forward to it, I'm doing head shots due to lack of room and being a fatty haha
Looking forward to seeing the spawn of art and Godzilla after a sweaty tequila fuelled night in a guatamalean seedy motel ;) |
