Hey all, Perhaps I missed it, is there an address we can send the photos for Dallas to? I make my Monday morning run to the Post Office so I'd like to send mine out then. I would also like to give him the figurines I used to do my shot along with a get-well card. I bought them specifically for the contest but Dez Bryant was the only one I used...
I used to love toys like this as a kid so I figured Dallas may appreciate them and they are brand new, other than modeling for this contest :) . Anyway, perhaps I missed it, but was an address posted? |

Thanks for this!
I'll be headed to get the prints done this weekend. I might go back and redo some of the processing to blend the bases of the statues on the dragon and blue-haired figure better before printing.
I assume we're going with 4x6" print size? |

To the best of my knowledge, that's the agreed upon size. I'm about to email mine into Henry's. |

I'm mounting mine on a small card. Smaller sizes are better I think, more manageable. |

Mail from overseas is a big deal for a kid. You'll get the most smile for your euro if you mail it from home.

If anyone wants to send Dallas a print, but cannot afford to do so, please PM me, as I have a bit of $$ set aside to help with this.
I'd also like to see if someone would like to do a commemorative poster for him as a collage, I'd be glad to pay for the printing/shipping on that as well. |

Costco prints 20"x30" posters for about $9. It can be ordered online (if you have a Costco membership) and the quality is excellent. They use high quality luster photo paper. It could probably be shipped directly to Dallas.

All we need is someone with time and talent... Neither of which I have. :) |

Hey everyone! I haven't been on in a while.
If you all will be sending anything within the next week or two, you can send it to the hospital:
C/O Dallas Ridings
Wake Forest Baptist Hospital
Medical Center Blvd.
Winston Salem, NC 25157
Also, Dallas LOVED looking at all the photos! He had such a great time, and it really lifted his spirits!
Thank you to all of you!!! The photos were great, but the smile you brought to his face was even better! I can't express how much it meant to him, and to all of us.

A poster of a collage, featuring a huge whack of images (I think it was 1100+) was done for the 1000th challenge a few years ago...who did that? Any of you other old-timers remember? |

Collage of entries to DPC's 1000th Challenge, compiled by SDW and then re-formatted into 8x10 aspect ratio. You can order prints at cost from my DPC Prints gallery.

Considering Scott isn't available right now, can we think of someone/anyone who might be able to take this on for Dallas? Again, I'll pay, but the time is something I can't afford right now. |

You just need someone to assemble photos into a collage? I might be able to do that over the weekend. How many pictures and what final size do you envision? |

I am very willing to buy three of the aforementioned posters (one for Dallas, one for Mom, and one to archive for them)
Of course, DPC prints might be able to get a good enough value that I'd go that way too... Whatever, I'm open.
ETA: If the 20x30 size is bad for whatever reason, then just do what makes sense. I expect that everyone involved is more than intelligent enough, and are almost certainly are well informed enough to make the right decisions.
My general values on something like this basically indicate that we shouldn't sacrifice reasonable quality to save $$, but we also shouldn't spend crazy $$ for a marginal increase in quality. Follow that and I'll be happy with wherever we end up I'm sure.
