I know this sounds crazy...but looking at the blurred parts of it...perhaps...
A towel rack? (guessing the in-focus part is the part that would mount into some wall bracket of some type?)

If you were crossing your legs at my (ultimately incorrect) suggestion, you probably don't want to Google "bull castrator" and click on "Images." If anything the actual tools used are more menacing!
