| I'm glad to hear about his progress, Denielle. I really hope the entries will bring a smile to Dallas's face. He's much braver than I think I could ever be. |

Just read the Caringbridge journal all the way through...wow, what a tough little guy. Not to mention tough on you and Travis too, of course. So glad to hear that he is getting itchy, nerves are regenerating!

Glad to hear he is doing great and responce well to fast healling. Thanks for the sharing,  Denielle. I had my 5 yrs old son to view the entries for Dallas (he started pressing snap button from age 4). He like it and saying the pictures for the young people. And I was really surprise with his feedback and opinion on some of the images. IMHO, maybe you can share Dallas comment with us. |

Yep...same for me...over a point lower receiving than giving. To me though, that just encouraged me to submit a better photo next time! Friendly competition is fun :) I always like to win...but if I don't, at least I know I entered something I was proud enough to show off. Plus...most importantly on this one...an image that I hope maked Dallas smile. :) |

| The score isn't super important to me on this one, but the only thing I was just a little disappointed in, was the low number of comments. We all love to get comments, or we wouldn't share our photos with our friends here and elsewhere. So far just 4 comments on 79 votes. *this is NOT a complaint...just an observation* |

I believe there will be 7+s without a ribbon... I was thinking I might get a ribbon, but I don't think I have the power in me anymore... I might break my best, but without a ribbon. first 10? maybe... ribbon, unlikely at this time :o\
votes are still dropping to the normal levels I believe (the ones started high)
Happy about the cause. |

I think people are starting to realize that submitting the photo for Dallas is what benefits Dallas.
Giving artificially high scores to a photographer does nothing for Dallas.
The votes are getting more in line with reality.
That said... there are some I'd give a 4 or 5 to normally that because they were so quirky that a 5 year old might like them, they scored higher. Others that had all the beauty and grace of a free study entry, yet a 5 year old would toss aside like socks on a Christmas morning scored lower... because the theme should have been pleasing Dallas, not create a "Thinking of You" Hallmark Card for a 40 year old.
IMO.

Great news he appears to be on the mend and sounding chipper.
I voted as per normal, with the challenge spirit in mind and perhaps a tad higher on images that would bring a smile or reaction to a young boy and hopefully lift his spirits. |

+1...here's hoping the traditionally grumpy early Monday morning voters have at least one coffee before voting!!! I know I won't ribbon but I want to cheer up Dallas...and maybe get a image on the homerow, too. |
