I thought a had a decent shot this time around... until I saw the entries. I'm just outclassed. If we had some leaves on the trees and decent weather, I might have tried reshooting an old favorite:

Don't feel bad, you're not alone. Thought I had a top 10 after being away for so long but alas as each vote comes in.............. the score goes down, down down..................

Would love to have tried to recreate this one from Sept (same day as my Morning Dipfer Ducks in the Lighting Challenge). Forgot about it, and was reviewing pics for a Print contest and found it. Not gonna enter it, but...was a contender.

I sat out the Silhouette, kept trying to get a "white" silhouette with the Infrared filter. think I got some, but nothing I was pleased with. Enjoying all the GREAT shots so far though. And some on the fringe, but that is what makes it fun.
The 3 attempts

Thisis my favorite silhouette shot I've taken. Unfortunately, it was taken a year too early. I love it.

Looking through the challenge, I saw quite a few shots where there was no silhouette at all. I mean, you either have a silhouette or you don't. It's pretty black and white, no gray areas on this one. I'm usually pretty open minded when it comes to the "meeting the challenge" issue, but not on this one.

Chiqui, Love that shot! Looks like the bird my brother use to fly in. May have to point him to it.

I am still learning and had some difficulties choosing something for this challenge. This is one I did not choose. It's not at all like the one I chose. What do you think?

These are my rejected ones.
My actual entry in no way resembles these.Hope I made the right choice.
Comments very welcome please.

Your #3 tower is my favorite. I like the composition and the colors. I'm looking forward to seeing what you chose for the challenge. I like these.

Actually Mr. Cartwright, I might have chosen another shot. My concern about the one you posted for the challenge was that it had a split focus(the lamp and the chimney), but neither focal point was very interesting. You have good sky colors and clouds for you tower shots, with a lot of interesting@detail in the towers themselves.

Thanks Amanda, also for my Sunday name :)
I originally chose the tower shot but was influenced by a friend who thought the roof one was best.
That'll teach me :)
