A couple inches of snow and very cold. This will slow me down. There is a chance the bad weather.... snow here and tornadoes east....will cause a "Fall Out". (reference "The Big Year" High Island event.)

male & female house finches mourning dove

Havent' had time to ID these ones yet. Tried to ID the one green one with in shade with light on his face...couldn't find it...

Sorry to all if I haven't replied/posted/commented as much as people have for me. Had family visiting in town and been very busy.

Also...got a PM that made me wonder...if I don't click on "helpful" for comments I receive on photos, is it implied that I DON'T think they were helpful? I mean, some of the comments are nice "Great shot!" type comments. I've gone through and clicked "helpful" where people have offered me help IDing a bird or whatever...but is "helpful" more of a "Click here if you liked this comment" sort of thing? Every community has it's little ins and outs, and maybe that's just something I wasn't aware of?

Hey Christopher-
There are often discussions about the "helpful" box. I see it as more of a 'thanks for taking the time to comment' box, especially in side challenges. For me, this particular challenge is more about the # of species you can capture as opposed to showing your best work. Of course we want to show off our best, but for this challenge you can't always wait for good lighting... so I haven't been critiquing the photos as I would during official challenges. ( I have captured a few species that I haven't posted due to really bad quality but they 're of birds that are more commonly seen in my area & so I'm hoping to get better images before the end of April!)
