If my own country were using tanks, artillery and possibly air-strikes in the coming days, I would hope that those big super powers at the U.N would do something to help. I don't understand the logic behind Russia and China's decision to veto a resolution for Assad to step down. Shelling your own country while the international community does nothing, what a shame and embarrassment.

you are trying to understand politics? there are always hidden motives and agendas in these votes and vetos and they almost always have nothing to do with what is universally right, it has to do with how it benefits the outside countries interests.
