It just occurred to me. I sure do hope Strikeslip doesn't get out his chainsaw for this Challenge.
Just think what his neighborhood would look like.
And what his poor, freezing (no furnace) wife would be doing. (Swiping the candle, probably, to keep warm). |

One almost hesitates to ask, but what is EVOO? Edible, I hope.

:)
and o2bskating, lol, no I always spelled it out before.
So EVOO is the new "good olive oil". Have you tried some of the lovely freshly good olive oils from California?
Yum.
ETA: sorry, don't want to dislocate this nice pumpkin carving thread.

My granddaughter sucked them seeds right up! LOL! Pumpkin is carved, picture is taken & entered. I'm sure it won't score high, but it was both fun and tasty. ;D
And no need to look it up Alice, RR coined the term on her cooking show. I did check though, and it seems the USDA changed their standards for the quality of olive oils in Oct. 2010. I always buy the "extra virgin" oils because they taste better. |

I only carve pumpkins when there's a challenge here. Isn't there a guide "How to carve pumpkins for dummies" somewhere? |

IMPORTANT: When you cut the lid, go in at an angle. If you cut out the lid straight up and down, it will fall in when you try to put it on later. |

Having carved my best pumpkin yet, the tip I got that made the difference was, if you want to carve a 3d pumpkin, get a heavy one so you can carve deep and not cut through. |

I can't say some won't vote you down for not using a pumpkin, but I think I would welcome a well carved gourd to break things up. |
