I'm a little confused. I guess I wander the streets and find a neat macro? Or a macro of a street?

This is the point where I wish I hadn't committed to the WPL, lol. Yuck on the challenges!

No description, so it's open to interpretation. My interpretation is a macro that is not a setup shot, but found out in the world. May be hard to tell just from looking at one, however.

Maybe street photography, but you have to get really close and take a macro?
Lol I have no idea either

Who makes up the challenges anyway? Does Langdon? SC?

Either way I'm excited about this one. I know I won't place in the top 40 but I love macros!

If only 40 people enter I will guarantee you a top 40 spot. How bought that?

That would be my only chance. I'm hoping only two other people enter so I can get third.

I'm really confused about this one too. How do you avoid the DNMC crowd by proving you took it on the street, should I submit a piece of gum on the pavement?

Some interesting stuff there, but not macro in the strictest sense of the word. I guess I won't be using my extension tubes for this one.

I love macros and this sounds interesting and different to me!

I think people do that for fun...or a place holder.

Looks like a lot of litter to me. This could be fun.

Envisioning DPCers laying on the sidewalk in a busy city trying to get that perfect shot! :-p

Could these be street macro, maybe?

Probably 90% (or more) of the challenge topics are based on member suggestions made in the forum set up for that purpose. SC members sometimes adjust the challenge description, but only Langdon schedules the challenge.

I see. I've always wondered that. Thanks.
