Sorry for being late on updating the first week. Just got my computer hooked up less than an hour ago. I'm glad the move is over but now we have a lot of unpacking.
Here are the results.
Thanks and enjoy!

Scott, question:
What is going to happen with the 28 day challenge...is that one going to be counted in the league? That is going to make it really hard to figure out standings...
Sorry, if I'm off course with my question, it's probably already been addressed but I've been out of town...just now catching up... |

I'd imagine it'll just fall into play when the score comes in. So for next week we'll have one fewer challenge result, but down the road we'll have an extra. But of course I've already been wrong 17 times today, so... |

I see that, I guess langdon thew me a curve on that one. The challenge is far out of the norm that I we can do one of two things.
1. Disregard that challenge and not let it count for the 3 week. Meaning that the third week will only consist of two challenges.
or
2. Let it count but week two will not be finalized until the results of the challenge are provided. That would mean that teams will not know if week two was a win or loss until 6 weeks into the wpl season. what should we do?
Let me know what all the teams think we should do?
Thanks for bringing up the question. I had not noticed the length of the submission stage.
Scott.

Scott, what is the easiest path for you (mathematically???) it seems a nightmare either way. Would it totally throw off the scoring/fairness if it was just dropped??? These are questions only you can answer...We (my Team & I) vote to do whatever is easiest for YOU...I'm sorry this wrench has been thrown in for you |

Welcome back Scott. Hope all went well with the move. May I suggest a solution for the Thursday challenge dilemma? What if we were to use the "September Free Study" in it's place. It's only 11 days away vice the 25, but still gives each team a chance to submit a third shot. Just a thought.

I'd have thought you had it all coded to go for three challenges and that would be easier, but that said... if that's not the case, suggest you go with whatever is easier. Personally, I have no problem waiting the extra weeks to get a final result for week 3... still falls within the league calendar. Doesn't force a delay to the schedule... whatever...
ETA: but that's just my view. I'll get back to you if the view of the rest of my team differs. :(

If he DOES have it coded for 3 challenges, I'd assume he can just enter zeros for all participants the third week's missing third challenge? That'd just force selection from the two that ran and we'd be jake. It's what I'd try anyway, waiting 28 days to finish week 3 would be strange...

Scott, what was your final decision about the 3rd challenge this wk (Day and Night)...I can't find a posting relating to that...I must admit I haven't looked really hard for it...but I did notice that the 3rd challenge this wk has been blocked out in the schedule/scores of WPL...I take that to mean it is being dropped from the challenge list for WPL?
You might (now this is just a suggestion) send a note out to all the capt'ns and tell them what to expect and how you have decided to handle it...to reduce confusion (NOT that we have EVER experienced that...snort)
again our team is fine with whatever YOU decide is easiest for YOU...
thank you again for putting this all together AND making it user friendly for nuts like me...lol |
