Usually, the entries that I like the most perform mediocre with the crowd. Only on rare occasions does mass appeal sync with my own faves.

Yes. I concur. Not everyone is going to like my photography. Prior to recently, I had lulled myself into a false sense of competence. Now that I'm expanding my range, I'm enjoying my photography a LOT more, but not scoring well at DPC. Oh, I can whine about the handicaps (for me) of 800 pixels and 297 kb constraints, but that would just appear to be a loser's lament. I probably need to move on, rather than alter my style in order to garner better DPC scores.

lesson learned...do NOT edit and enter when drinking heavily. i can't believe the entry i'm looking at this morning, might be my worst edit in over a year. seriously considering a self-dq, and unbelievably it's running over a 5 now.

Mhmm... I have however, kept my average votes given pretty high still. Still a high 6 range for most of the challenges. Even still as of recently.

Trolls are out in force for me as well... Just got dropped a "1 bomb."

Its when commenters keep themselves anonymous until after the challenge is over. The person is displayed as a paper bag until the challenge is over.
Its not an insult, promise :-)

Oh yeah, that was me. I had a problem in the past with a member PMing me because he didn't like my comment. So I decided to go "bag-head" (which is also a term for a drug user, typically one who huffs paint or glue) to releif those problems until detectives like marko come along ;-)
