So how long has it been since your personal best score?

For me, it's been almost three years now. It's been 2 1/2 years since I've changed out a photo in my top five. I'm guessing I'll die before I get a new PB, but you never know! :-)

You?

Mine was 3 1/2 years, lol. Guess it's been downhill ever since. my stuff just keeps scoring lower and lower, and lower, lol.

I've had a good year. Three new ones in my top 5. But, they are still few and far between. It was quite a while before that.

October 15, 2011 will be the five year anniversary of my high score (and my only 7+).

My high position (4th) was this past October.

It's hard to do. Getting harder and harder to keep a really high score. my top 6, in order:

1. 12/14/2006
2. 03/10/2011
3. 01/01/2007
4. 03/26/2006
5. 07/26/2009
6. 05/14/2006

welllllllll, my PB was achieved in December of 2002. the remainder of my top 5 is 2002, 2003 and 2006. heck, i've not broken my top 20 since 2009.

dang. that's depressing.

No, no...not depressing, but telling with regards to what the DPC community finds appealing these days. :)
I'm going to stay true to me and what I like to shoot, so I may never have another PB! :P

My PB was November of last year. It's going to be a looooonnnng time until that gets knocked off it's perch.

true dat.

:) the *reality* of it for me is that I am actually making money now (wasn't when the bests were achieved, or not as much), and I feel i am a much better photog then i was then. if i really gave myself time to create, set up, shoot and edit as i did on some of those high scorers, i could probably get back up there.

You are an excellent photog. What you do makes lots of people very happy!!

My PB was achieved only 8 months after signing up on DPC. I thought that I would RULE DPC....LOL....oh well.

I'm in the same boat as you Kelli. I've had 3 images since the beginning of the year rotate into my top 5 pushing a few long standing shots out. Two of those are in my 1 and 2 spot and the other currently in 4th.

As for my PB, that was only back in April when I got my first and only ribbon to date...BUT that photo and the number 2 photo down my Piano Man shot down to third which HAD been my PB for a very long time. So I've had my moments this year and hopefully I can continue building on that trend a little before it goes stagnate again. LOL.

I started with a few 6s when I joined and then went into frequent 5s and 4s :) Even a well deserved Brown! But 3 months ago I gave up on experimentation and went back to what I really like - moody landscapes. This has worked very well - I replaced all 9 top images in my profile in that time and got a new PB every 4 weeks. It is kind of nice when what one likes is also appreciated by others! My current PB will be hard to beat though.

Back in 2005 my third challenge entry got me the blue, my personal best score and what I consider one of my top five personal favorites. A 7.38 is very hard to beat. I know some will think me an odd bird but I am happy that it has not been dethroned.

I have had the same PB since 2005, which I slowly began to truly hate. This year I pushed it two steps to the right and missed a third by 0.011. The popular style shifts in waves.

New personal best, and I didn't expect it to do well. I can never guess what people will vote for :)

2010 was good for me. I pretty much replaced all bar one of my top 5. I did manage this year to knock number 5 off, but doubt I'll see a new PB any time soon.

I think maybe you should try doing soap bubbles.

But it would have to pass your approval. Would a shot from inside looking up at one of William's flying frogs do the trick?

Just 5 months ago :) Had to wait 4 years for that.

My two 7+ scores were in consecutive challenges, way back in October 2007. And my highest score only came in 6th in that challenge.
