Plus, the "projects" keep stacking up as I take pictures specifically for this ... :-)Source: Variations:

Glad to see this thread is still going. I haven't had time to play lately, but this morning was different.
semi-coherent steps are on the image. Holler if you want clarification. |

Oh, okay. One more - maybe two...
All the talk about abstract peppers recently struck a chord when that pepper image came up on my monitor yesterday.
This is the result. A few comments are on the images, but steps are on the "First World."

Uh oh ... I hope you have lots of unallocated time on your hands! One of the most fun things is that you can take a picture you might otherwise consider a waste of disk space and make something (or several things) really cool out of it. |

Well, since I qualify for the Student/Teacher edition, it might be worth it. I hate it when people have fun and I just have to watch!
Addendum: $192 at Amazon for Extended/S/T edition...so I'll get it tomorrow! Then, I'll play.

Agreed. It can be done. You just can't set up an action to do it automatically. But different blend modes work better on different photos, so having the extra control isn't a bad thing. |
