In two hours, the number of people who voted on my photo went down 27, and my score went up more than a tenth of a point! Anybody know why? (I'm not complaining, just wondering...)

Same here -- I'd guess it's the vote purge they've talked about before. If anybody's voted more than X% (don't know the number off the top of my head) 1s and 2s, or if people haven't voted on X% of the total entries, their votes are ignored.
(Or so I understand.)

I think this is correct.. i lost 20 votes and gained .14 on my score too...

| same here...my score went up too, hmmmmmmm. As long a my score went up I could care less what happend...i need the points :( |

Thanks Patella- that was my hypothesis. I really like that system (even though last week it dropped me down). It's nice to know that the "Powers that Be" are looking out for us! :)

It's my pleasure. Even though it seems strange, I'm kind of disappointed my score went up this week. I'm actually kind of wondering if I might have a reversed bell curve distribution with my votes this week. Lots of higher scores and lots of lower scores, but not so many in the middle. It will be interesting to see if this happens and why it happens.
