By the way, do you think that this would have scored better? This is the one I liked, but the Boss (wife)liked the other one:)

Well, I thought mine was pretty good technically and it is my highest score so far so I'm thrilled. Thanks all.

I didn't get through all the voting before the close and missed crabappl3's shot. I think the main issue was the overwhelming yellow background. Had you shot on a neutral background, then the orange subjects would be more dominant (I think I made the same mistake).

Spydr- I did vote on yours, but didn't have time to comment. I gave it a 6 and would have expected the shot to end up with a 6-6.5. Similar to crabappl3, I think you could have landed in the top 5 if you just shot the hat and sunglasses on sand. The brightly colored background pulls attention away from the orange subjects, and the sunscreen was unnecessary. Edit- I think your submitted shot was stronger than the alternate.

Well I thought I would get a high score for sympathy but I was wrong. Last minute shot that didn't turn out so great, but it wasn't my lowest score!
