I think this challenge should be called "Free Study covered with monkeysh*t brown". It really gets depressing after awhile. |

I agree. Lots of pics that just don't work in sepia.

| For this challenge only, first place ought to earn a Sepia colored ribbon. That way we'd all know what color Sepia really is. And we could refer to it in the Sepia III challenge that's sure to follow at some point. |

Funnily enough I was expecting it to be depressing (despise sepia!!) but I enjoyed voting.

Aah, got my answer-ish.. Not sepia enough which if compared to the original is too much sepia for me.. But I guess it's the voter's opinion that counts.

Wikipedia says sepia is Hex triplet #704214, RGB (112, 66, 20), HSV (30°, 82%, 44%).
This page also says "Beginning in the 1880s, sepia was produced by adding a pigment, called sepia, made from the Sepia officinalis cuttlefish found in the English channel,[1] to the positive print of a photograph."
Fish toned pictures.
ETA: Is it #704214 or just #964B00?

And mine has been fluctuating around here too.
Apparently the 0.03 makes all the difference for comments :-)
I'm also delighted with this score! If it holds it'll make a nice addition to my profile page.

Continuing the turn in my DPC entries and having a blast with it. Really surprised this is scoring as high as it is. Very grateful for the comments. Now I need to go and reedit the original as my computer shut down before saving the PSD file. All I have is the tiny version and i want to print it out big. Blah!
