So I'm thinking of getting an Ipad 2. I have long train rides and sometimes my weekend work leaves me with 3 or 4 hours between lessons with nothing to do but listen to my ipod or go to an internet cafe and sleep in the massage chairs for 10 bucks.
I don't have an iphone and all my itouch apps are pretty basic. I have no idea what I would or wouldn't really use. I like the idea (Just one app I saw) of being able to connect to my PC at home and get stuff off my PC. Not sure what the limitations are. Any advice? |

The IPad2 is absolutely ideal for the train!
Here's a terrific tutorial that will help you with your ipad:
IPad AppAdvice
You can customize your cover with Gelaskins.
If you are looking for productive apps, here's one that will allow you to connect remotely to your work or home PC:
Pocket Cloud - WYSE
The mouse feature is very useful.
The options are endless! Enjoy and have fun!

I am addicted to mine. I'm actually using it now to type this.
Assuming you have access to wifi on the train, you can use Skype for calls too. |

I use mine all the time. I have no idea what all of the things are that I can do with it, but what little I can do, I find it amazing. I got the 3g version (although haven't figured out how to use that yet). I did buy a bluetooth keyboard and really enjoy that. |

iPad 3 is in testing right now. Wait a lil while longer, if your the "gotta have the latest" type. |

They better be testing it with a USB or firewire port... but knowing Apple they are probably working on stuff nobody really needs.

Your question will perhaps be best answered if you watched through all these videos:

I just recently got one and love it. |
