One of the many duties of a photograph is to tell a story. Create a photograph where the subject, the location, and the action or event work together to tell an obvious story without needing extra explanation or clarification.

EXTRA RULE
No titles so that commenters can say what they see the title should be... Might be fun for commenting along with shooting. |

If this goes as a challenge, I'll award a Purple Prose Award for the best story as recorded in the image details.

Cool award, but the whole point is that the image shouldn't need anything written in the image details to get the story across. |

By the way, I've been trying to come up with challenge suggestions by thinking what kind of assignments I would assign a high school photography class. This site is supposed to be a teaching site for amateur photogs and I've always thrown ideas around in my head about what and how I would teach a class, so I'm using you guys as guinea pigs : ) Thought I'd throw that out there in case that background info sparks any ideas from anyone else : ) |

I know. This would only come into play after the challenge. So it wouldn't impact voting, scoring, or placement. Just icing on the cake! I wanted to support the notion of photos telling a story!!!

Got it : ) And love it. I'm (obviously : )) a fan of photos that tell a story too. |

My last entry may have done a little better in a a "tell a story" challenge.
I also really liked this one although it tanked.
Great idea for a challenge and if this one goes through I hope I can find time to enter it. |

Every Picture Tells a Story
It was a fun challenge I recall. |
