Hi there. Spring only lasts a few weeks around here. (Northern Virginia), and it would be nice to get some Spring Theme'd Challenges in the next coming month. I'm not sure what they would be, but we'll be missing the boat on a great season if we don't do something soon!
Anyone have suggestions?

How about "Pastel Colors"? We've done other colors.
or,
How about "Beginnings"?
These might include other places in the world where they are heading into winter. |

Don't forget our friends in the southern hemisphere where the season is actually autumn. |

Well it's not our fault they decided to live on the wrong half of the planet.

Also, by the time we get spring (Ottawa), the season will be history in Virginia. We still have snow (not much mind you) and bare trees without a bud in sight. |

sounds familiar. the first green shoots are just beginning to poke thru the soil. not enough color in time for Easter (April 11th) though, I am sure. |

Yup - and we are fast heading towards summer here in Tx. Spring looks fantastic right now, but it'll all be over 100F in a few weeks.

I like the idea of "beginnings" - or something around all the mating that's going on among the squirrels and birds, etc. |

I'm sure you guys are used to "interpretation" up there. :)
Seriously though, something with a Spring Slant would be nice.
"Beginnings" is a good example.
How about:
"Home & Garden"
"FloralScapes"
"Leaving Winter"
I admit these kinda suck, but somebody has to have something worth while out there. I'd like an opportunity to see other Springs.

Seasonal challenges that are themed to a specific season are difficult given the international nature of the DPC community. I remember last summer (that is, summer on the U.S. East Coast), a challenge went up called "Summer Shot". A bunch of people said "hey, it isn't summer where we live, so we can't participate?!" The challenge was renamed a short while later to "Seasonal Shot"... |

In all fairness Eddy, you guys gave us After Dark and it was about 8 degrees outside for the majority of North America. Folks complained a little, but we went out and got shots.
If some folks don't have spring...go to the Florist! |
