It happens sometimes....I actually went to the dictionary to make SURE I did not spell it wrong....then did a typo ;)

It's not a job or a gallery. It is fun challenges that we submit to twice a week. Wow, I just don't get it.
I have submitted a photo at the last minute and I am sure that most of us have.

I'm not talking about people who's first language isn't English.

But as a native English speaker, how can you expect not to
leave a negative impact with something as basic as a misspelled
title.

Would you turn up to a job interview looking a mess - and hope that
your potential employers had the vision and integrity to see the real
you? Of course not - wake up and step into the real world of judgemental
humans!

Moreover IMHO, a clean apt title can contribute to a photograph.

I was curious to come back to this thread following results so that I could see for myself the image being discussed and the comments too.

It strikes me that the comments do NOT just focus on the error in your title as you have claimed but also give you what is probably a much more important factor in your low score - the lack of focus.

Whilst you have an interesting idea, as mentioned in a couple of your comments, the realisation of it is not as strong as it might be - let down by focus, lighting and so on.

Your image received a lot of 3, 4 and 5 votes which I personally think are about right.

I don't think it does you any favours to ignore those aspects of the comments that are critical nor to pay more heed only to those which are positive - I can't imagine that it will help you to improve your work in the long run.

I do hope you continue to enter and continue to look for ways to improve your score without looking for excuses for low scores that fail to take into account the real reasons.

Good luck!

You are right... There was not as many focused on the spelling as I had orginaly thought... I was in a very off beat mindset and guess I just needed the vent. Something just clicked and well that was it.

But hey... isn't that why there is a Vent forum??? L()L. some sometimes when people just have to release from everything combined they can.

Anyway I do thank everyone for there comments and stuff.

Yeah letting off steam can sometimes really help get one's perspective back!
