Now that you mention it, I think we should indeed!

Alan, shouldn't we go somewhere with a different geocache? You already got that one.

Don't think for a second that Geocaching won't be on my agenda at some point...

Shall I assume that Friday's is a restaurant and if so, where is it located.

Yep, it's a chain restaurant in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area... I'll dig out directions when the date gets closer (they're likely in one of the previous threads about this GTG).

I might be able to make it this year. I was disappointed to miss it last year.

OK... managed to get a room at the Rickett's Glen Hotel for the 4th but will have to look for something for the 5th.

The room has two twin beds so anyone wishing to come the day before and needing a place to sleep can PM me.

If you hear snoring, it's me in Room 4. I was surprised to hear that I got the last room... hard to imagine that place being totally booked!

England's royal wedding party booked the upper floors early. The penthouses and rooms with ocean views went first, then the private balconies and jacuzzi suites. The remaining units provide a better feel for the area, though... they're very rickety.

I settled for the room that only has limited butler service. Hopefully the yacht will still be available for a spin, though.

Can't seem to find the address. Post it when you find it.
Last time I stayed in hotel right next to it and want to do that again this year.

I've been meaning to bump this thread, so I'm glad you posted that note! The address for TGI Fridays is 880 Kidder Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.

There is a better than real chance that I'm not going to make it. I have another commitment that's an all weekend thing. IF.....I can bail on it for Sunday, I will, but it'd be best not to count on it. I've been to every one so far, and I truly will try to make it, but.....

As this situation unfolds, we should consider a back-up plan for the food. No Jeb = No Grill. If somebody else has a portable grill to bring along, then things should be good to go (from my point of view anyway since I'm bringing items to be grilled) as originally planned. If I remember correctly the charcoal grills at the picnic area left a lot to be desired.

Jeb, if you can't make it, you will be missed :-/

I could always bring chicken salad for sandwiches.

Yeah, I'm not excited about missing Jeb's grill. Ummm... Jeb, too...! I don't have a suitable grill for such a thing; hopefully someone else does, just in case.

While I really do hope that NikonJeb does show up, I went out and purchased two small gas grills and six small propane tanks today in the event he does NOT show up.

I hope this helps.

PS: As mentioned before, if someone wants to come the the site the night before I have a room with twin beds that I am quite prepared to share..simply PM me to let me know.

Yay! Ray may have saved us from staging the "First Annual DPC Ricketts Glen Photoshoot and Peanut Butter Sandwich Picnic."

I don't think we'll have the "Waterless Waterfalls" issue we had last year. Hopefully it won't be pouring rain on us all day.

Very good point! I would certainly think that a lack of water would not be a problem at all :)
