I think this is personal. Entities such as state government and companies still keep their eyes on us.
I can't believe instead of common sense of people they force us for stuff like that just because of a few sick people. But after all, every laws created for a few mind-sick people... "thinking" those laws would stop them. |

I love how people think that all photographers are pedophiles or terrorists.
If you are a white male with a camera, you are a pervert and sex offender.
If you are a brown male with a camera, you are a terrorist.

Remember that the SCOTUS recently ruled (Citizens United case) that corporations have the same rights and responsibilities as individual citizens. |

well when punishments for certain crimes are too weak people have no problem breaking certain laws. |

Certain people are going to break certain laws no matter how hard the punishments are. It's not about being scared to break the laws, it's about having a completely broken brain. No laws or punishments fix THAT.

Only they're like wealthy citizens that make huge campaign donations to skirt the law, or have the laws written to favor them... |

That should not be problem if you're taking photo in a bazaar, aiming for a fruit stand, and some kid or kids wonder around with their parents and you capture them. However, if you're in a park, and you don't have a clear subject (not counting models and all that, which you probably would be careful not to have unwanted subjects in your frame) that could be a problem. Parents these days are very uncomfortable with people with cameras, specially places they think they should be relaxed, out of sight.
I am from NJ, moved to AZ a few years ago. When I went to park with my camera there, I was extremely careful. I handed out my cards many times with my name and phone to make parents comfortable even if I am taking my son's pictures only. I still continue same procedure here in AZ
So, even thought it seems like kind of a paranoia, I can understand the parents point of view. |
A day would come when a politician would standup and say "did you get a sign from Fruit's father" before taking any frit's photograph ;)
really politician do not have anything to do in there life and just sit and come up with some crazy ideas! |

"My name is Peter and I am a child 'shooter'." I did it again today. Please forgive me, I could not help it. They were so cute.... Please spare me a thought as I still have to post process the raw files.
And please hold my hand, I have to admit I also shot a bridge and a subway today. I can not help it. The flowers were in a public area, too. Will you forgive me, please?
