how much is one allowed to sharpen and use adjustments as in
brightness, contrast?

but if you over sharpen too much, it doesnt looks so great.

this was done with auto contrast and sharpening, original photo
taken using solorize.. i;m sure if i entered this is would be
turfed out?

Not sure of the meaning 'turfed out'.....but it's not very photograph like. More along the lines of 'digital art'.

No, you just need to know the proper combination of [img] and [url] tags to get it to work.

Check out this tutorial; using the "Preview" button (instead of "Post"), you can try it out to see if you "got it working" without creating unnecessary posts.
