| Do people actually still believe that whole '72 virgins for martyrdom' bit of myth-making and propaganda? Although i guess it has been used as propaganda by both the West and the terrorists themselves sometimes |

The word is out and pictures to follow. Osama was given a "real" burial at sea. Complete with prayers, cleansing and wrapping. Sailors stood at attention as Osama's body was "eased into the water".
At least his body got a decent burial. Unlike the innocents at the WTC who were smashed beyond any chance of recognition and then very likely for some....hauled off to a landfill in Jersey. |

I'm looking at footage from inside Osama's $1m compound/mansion, and I'm wondering - Why are terrorists bedrooms always so messy?
I mean, even without the blood stains and stuff there are pillows all over the place, no sheet on the mattress, and junk on the floor. |

Glad to hear you say this. Peggy Noonan and a couple of other republicans this morning said we should get the Special Forces guys who carried out this operation on TV as quickly as possible to talk about this. Have they lost their minds?

#1 I doubt their command would allow it.
#2 I doubt the operatives themselves would willingly do anything of the sort.
Once their identities are compromised...their careers are pretty much over.

Last time a combined CIA/Navy SEALs hit team helicoptered into my compound they made a big mess and forgot to tidy up after the event. It is truly shocking, these guys are supposed to be so "well trained" and they leave a huge mess behind, and you know the press will be in right after them. If they want to be considered "special forces" in my book they will have to learn to straighten things up before they leave. |

I am NOT a conspiracy theorist! But I am wondering ...
CNN reported Osama's body was buried at Sea. Why would the US do that?
My geography is pretty snafu'd but if he was killed in Pakistan, why schlep his body to a ship, and then why bury it at sea rather than preserve it for verification?
If the body is at sea, what physical evidence do we have he was actually killed? Of it someone was actually killed, that it was Osama? Why isn't this notion being mentioned by the (conspiracy) press?
Not sayin', I'm just sayin'. |

Because they're all convinced he's been dead since 2004 so they are blase about it. Just a publicity stunt to get the masses rowdy and ready for a major push in the middle east.

As mentioned, he was buried at sea so that there would be no "shrine" to the great mujahadid.
Also, taking the body allows for closer examination and confirmation of his identity while in a safe location. |

You guys are a real piece of work. Take a look at the facts and you will see that Obama did make this a priority and there has been a big increase in drone attacks since he took over. Relations with Pakistan have been strained because of it and the fact that Obama said he would send our guys into Pakistan without their permission if he had actionable intelligence to do so. He did and he did.
Give the guy his due.

Because it would be far too risky for President Obama to make the announcement, and then a week later Bin Laden releases a video saying he's still alive.
Were that to happen, Obama might as well step down immediately. I'd say the US were 100% certain it was him they killed, they can't afford to make that sort of mistake.
