This was from EddyG. please explain.
Tom, all in-camera effects/features are legal in both the Basic and Advanced editing rules. As long as when you submit the original photo, the Site Council can see the "double exposure" in the original as it came from the camera, all is good. When I say "single photo", I should have been more clear and said "single image file from your camera". |

Basically it is very simple. Anything your camera can do by itself is legal. Some cameras can shoot a double image and store it as one file. Submission of a "two shot" composition like this is legal if it was all done in-camera.
Thus EddyG's precise language..."single image file from your camera".

Some cameras are capable of taking more than one exposure (opening the shutter more than once) and saving all of the resultant data to a single, composited file, all done within the camera.
Since you can save that single original file, and submit it as verification that everything was done within the camera, such a combining of images would be legal as a DPC entry.
Any other way of combining images (whose sources comprise more than one file) are prohibited. |

Enough proof for you to buy a 10D Zeus? Not only does it take such multiple exposures, it also makes me coffee in the morning before I get out of bed :) |

Does it add the cream and sugar too?
I'm incredulous. :p |

This is hte best multiple exposure pic i have ever seen - not only in concept, but the exposure 'value' is great. How many exposures are there here? How many attempts to get the individual exposure times right so the overall image was right? |

Would you please describe how this photo was done in-camera? I wasn't aware the 10D had the capability to do multiple exposures. Or, was it done by covering the lens between exposures, or something else along those lines? I will appreciate it very much if you would please tell us how it was done.

Unless I'm totally confused (very possible!) I think each "brother" is a separate image, combined later in software; is this correct Gary?

Yup - each exposure was taking in a camera, and there were multiple ones taken.
Just needed a little bit of PS to put them all back together again.

Zeus, either you forgot the smiley or you are purposefully trying to get people disqualified. To clear the air, the 10D does not have any in-camera multiple exposure capability. This is a composite of 28 different images, expertly melded together in Photoshop, and totally illegal as a DPChallenge submission. =] As I stated before, a DPC submission must be from a "single image file from your camera".

I'm trying to get people disqualified. It's getting too crowded here.;-)
My apologies, I am, apparently, much dumber than I thought. (No smiley).
-Even my spelling needs attention today.

How in the heck did you do that! Did you actually sit in all those different places and run back and forth to the camera to take them all? This is amazing!! So will my Fuji 602 do this all in one shot like yours... oops. Never mind. :) |
