Maybe that's a war vet amputee?
I always thought when Mercedes (3-point star) bought Chrysler (5-point star) that there was a slight chance they might (accidentally) compromise on four points, one up and three down .... |

BTW: I assume from the title of this thread that the author is, in fact, admitting that exposure to nuclear waste is bad for humans ... unlike any government around here. |

Maybe we should have a S.F. get together at the next rally :) |

If I could run it I'd suggest going as a team to the next Bay-To-Breakers. It's a great photo-op anyway. And perhaps even better evidence of mass brain damage .... |

Good idea. I don't live too far away from the finish line and the crazy after event at the Polo grounds. |

I'm unfamiliar with a single person in the white house that is or has said that nuculear waste isn't bad? Maybe you can inlighten us with actual proof?
It's just too bad that these people can't actualy blame their "issues" on this problem. Thank god Bush prefers advice from business me than these freaking wackos!!!

I don't know why this made me think of this but one of my greatest disappointments with San Francisco came when I first heard they were going to have a grand prix only to find out instead of formula 1 cars catching air off Hyde Street there would be a bunch of bicyclists tying up the city for the day. |

What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. . . .

Russell I missed this on the nightly News? Wonder why? Ho, yea, it would be to embarrassing for the Left. You know it reminds me of the 60̢۪s after coming home from Viet Nam.
Very sad. But I thank God I live in a country where even this is accepted. Just hope these people feel similarly.

Then let them bury the waste someplace already safe, like under the Capitol, instead of trucking it through our cities to a place where the people don't want it.
BTW: I was trying to be a little humorous about it; extremists of every ilk are usually trouble for the vast majority. |

These people in your links are scum. I'm almost ashamed that the city I was born in (SF) is the home of these filthy, degenerate pigs. They should be shot on site, some of them. Waving a banner about NYC and how it's better off with the WTC, I would have absolutely been in jail right now if I would have seen that piece of garbage on the street in SF waving that banner.

I'm from NY, and that about sums up my feelings! They may have the right to protest and have the feelings they do, but some things are worth a few nights in the pokey!

Advocating violence is against DPC TOS. Please figure out a legal and democratic way to express your disagreement with your fellow citizens. |

I may be very wrong, but I think some of the photos may have been altered. Looking at the Bush - Hitler cabinet comparison the names appear to be aligned more with the picture than with the poster.
Then again, maybe I'm just hoping these pictures aren't real. |

the way I have just expressed my self is 110% legal. I didn't advocate violence on anyone, but I'm sure you would like to put words in my mouth.

I've seen this stuff in person in San Fran, these people are disgusting. I've recounted this story a few times, but last time I was in San Fran and there was a big rally (right before Iraq), PEACE protestors were harrasing cops, throwing things and assulting Police horses, attempting to get them to react. They would have 1-3 people filming this, hoping for a physical response when some POS got the beating they deserved, so they could send in only the 10 second clip!
BTW: They never got their film chance, the cops were very good. But that leftist mayor in San Fran then continued to pardon ALL the people that were arrested for ASSULTING A POLICE OFFICER. Bet you CNN watchers didn't know about all that did you!
edit: I can't spell :)

It was more directed with Chris123's previous post, but you did seem to be agreeing with it ... perhaps not suggesting commiting violence yourself, but sounding as if you would be happy if violence were done to others. Putting people in jail for a legal exercise of their rights is about as violent and undemocratic as you can get, since it is the mis-use of State power against the individual. |

WOW, now I know how you come to your conclusions, neither Chris or I even mentioned or eluded that these people should be put in jail. must be tough making all this stuff up!

Most terrorists exist to 'fight for the cause' not to actually win the cause. So I'd guess most terrorists would vote for Bush.
This has been a continuing problem in Northern Ireland, where many young people become part of terrorist groups, simply for power/ prestige/etc and have no real interest in having all that end and finding themselves as unemployed(able) thugs.

Yeah, I think Russell2566 said he should be locked up, not the protestors. Least that's how I read it.

You are correct -- I mis-read that part. I apologize for the misunderstanding ... I am usually more careful in reading your posts, but it was before 7 am here and I am by nature a "night person."
However, I might have an argument over whether assault and battery are OK just so long as you can "do the time" or, as is more the case in America, pay the fine. I would hope that violence commited for the express purpose of denying someone else their civil rights would at least draw the maximum penalty, but I doubt it.
Wait until you see what I have to say about the Pledge (not the furniture spray...) |
