Before purchasing a snowblower, look at the cost associated with the purchase, factor in the cost of gas and maintenance and the fact that some idiot will have to freeze their assets to remove the snow...and then ask around and find out how much it will cost for someone else to remove the snow with their plow...

You might be surprised to find that you can get several years of snow removal for the price of the snowblower alone.

I have a snowblower and a 100 foot driveway... I love winter, and next year and the years after that I intend to be in places like Australia. :O)

good point, but since i wont be able to get to work without doing this myself...its most likely going to be a split cost between a few neighbors.

i have a large drive way, buts its the mess at the end from the snow plows that really kills me.

also kids these day have no initiative, i am dying to pay some kids decent change to clear my driveway, but no one comes around, and i live in a big neighborhood. I used to make a fortune when i was younger..

I don't get why the valley floor schools were canceled, but the hills did get a decent amount of snow. Did you get a chance to see the hills? They were beautiful today with all the snow-topped trees. I didn't get any photos though. I knew I should have taken the camera to work with me!
