Actually, we are looking at the third file. Based on the screen we are seeing, I thought it had been reinstated upon further review, because we are voting (again, I might add).
Looking at the challenge entries, I am not seeing it, so somehow, it didn't get "un-dq'ed"
Not sure why.
eta (for clarity): on the dq page, there is a "remove disqualification" link next to each dq'ed picture. Cuttout's picture does not show there, with the dq'ed pictures so I thought it had be reinstated.

i think we should dq all cutouts past entries due to his girlfriends involvement in the following rule:
taken and post-processed by you. Someone else may press the shutter button if you set up the shot and the camera settings. No one else may post-process your entry for you. Exceptions must be approved by the Site Council in advance.
also, ban him from the site |

I'm not so sure they are joking. I had wondered about the comment about his girlfriend doing all the computer stuff and what it might have implied. I don't have anything against letting whatever is past go. But it doesn't mean something isn't there.

oh for heaven's sake. my incumbent other takes care of my computer. that doesn't mean that I don't do my own processing.
you are making a mountain out of a molehill: I suspect Jan is as uninterested as I am in the confusing - and I believe wickedly confusing - aspects of file transfer and management. There are certain, legal, things I would like to be able to do to my photos, but never will because I cannot endure the headaches to get there. Times I want to throw my computer and cameras into the sea, don the yellow robe and take up my begging bowl.
this was a sweet thread for awhile, those with savvy patiently instructing the unsavvy. |

obviously dq'ing and banning was a joke. It's not something that can be validated anyways, unless such information is given freely. But still, would that be acted upon, probably not.
Nevertheless, I will admit I was hoping my post would provoke a response to acquire more information from him about it, to which I was successful |

I figured it was something like that, but then Jan kept going on about us not looking at the 3rd file and being dq'ed, so I assumed something had glitched, and it hadn't been validated, or something. |

I was just commenting that i wasnt so sure they were joking. I had not information to add or imply anything futher than what had been said already. It also seems by cutout's latest post the situation was backwards? You were helping her not the other way around? Leaves me lost not that it matters as its not related to anything important.
