I have a Sigma DL Zoom 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 and a Sigma UC Zoom 70-210mm 1:4-5.6. The camera recognizes the lenses but when I take a picture outside in the daylight, I get an error 99. I can take a picture indoors and not get the error. Does anyone have a clue as what I should do or could do to resolve the problem? Besides buying new lenses right now.
Thanks Paul |

The lenses are probably not compatible with the camera. I know several of the older sigma lenses can be re-chipped to work though.

Who would I send the lenses too? |

I would contact Sigma and describe your problem to them and ask if re-chipping these lenses is possible or recommended.

I have gotten that error message before, both times I shut off the camera and turned back on and it worked. I know my lens are compatable, it has not happened much to me with this camera, although on my minolta it happened fair bit (error messages) and I was told it is fairly normal. Not sure if this helps or addresses your concern. |

Thanks to both.
The info will help. I e-mailed Sigma and I will see what they say. |
