That's my own feeling about the average as well. However, we are often unable to see out own work the way others do. You and I are both in the same range. Perhaps after the challenge, we can do a post-mortem to try and figure out if our entries were really that poor or not.

Good idea! And, you're right that we are unable to see the flaws in our own work. It takes constructive criticism from others to pierce the veil of blindness about our own work.

It doesn't have to be flawed to score low, just not appealing to most of the voters.

Because I had seen two before the challenge started -- friends asking for feedback. I don't vote when I've seen the photo ahead of time.
