Got yours, Louis. Thanks, I was beginning to think mine was too obscure... |

Yep, same for me. Had thought when it was holding a good 7 after 30 votes that things were looking good but it just keeps sliding....down.

I'm glad my image is being received well.
I'm pleased that it's scoring well above my average.
It's nice when you have something creative in mind and it works out.

I don't want to jinx myself.
I'm hoping to be in ribbon territory but not sure I'll make it. |

Well, if your last score I saw was anything to go by and the photo I think may win a ribbon, then it is probably yours in the bag! |

I have been reviewing my scoring on this one, after having happened upon some Monty Python on the tube the last few nights (it's been a long time since I watched them, though I always have loved those guys) and I came to a personal revelation:
Graphically speaking, Monty Python were NOT about high-end photography, never were: they were all about lunacy and spontaneity, the production values were usually workmanlike, at best... and this, I believe, was intentional.
Accordingly, I decided it's silly to SCORE Monty Python challenge entries based on photographic skill, it's like an oxymoron or something. And, THEREFORE, I have bumped up quite a ways some extremely pythonesque images that are not especially well-constructed by my usual standard, but that seem to hit the target squarely, AND I have actually demoted by a point a couple images I thought were too WELL made; images I had scored higher because they WERE well-made, but that, substance-wise, weren't up to the standard of the most pythonesque images.
It's my fond hope that this logic, itself, that convoluted, overwrought sentence, is itself in the pythonesque spirit.
Now, onwards and upwards!

Well, I'm done now... I've given an average score of 6.1+, by far the highest average I have ever given out in a challenge I think.
